MY FIRST STEPS in EAP

After having celebrated my fifty-fifth-year birthday, I decided to undertake something which had always been part of my life and that for different reasons I could not fulfil yet. Currently it has not been something simple since it requires not only much more time and endeavour than I expected but also the essential development and attainment of writing academic skills. Certain formal elements such as proficiency in language use, style, register and genre(s), are essential.   Completing assignments and turning them in on time is not everything. The purpose of academic writing is not merely to narrate events or describe people. Furthermore, as members of a discourse community, teachers are bound together by the acquisition of specific lexis and conventions. Working collaborative is something which has to follow definite   requirements; particular   goals – to complete the given assignment this time, participatory mechanisms- creating a google document so as we can all contribute

She had forgotten to mute it, and so a very famous song started to play. Mrs. Moon was not a fan of that particular singer, but Sophie, her daughter, had set one of her favourite songs as her mother’s ringtone.  Much to her surprise, the teenage girl gasped and shouted, “It's him! I love him! Oh Miss, please, turn the mu

About me

I am Graciela. I live in the north of Argentina with my family. I am a public translator. I have been working as a teacher for more than 25 years. When I started teaching, most of my students were children . Then,  I worked in a secondary state-run school- which I missed a lot-   until the year 2017.After that,  I retired from school, not from teaching English. My main goal is to improve my writing and language skills. I am sure I will  learn a lot from this class. I love learning and teaching. Definitely, education is something  as valuable as challenging.-
